San Rafael is located in central Marin.  In addition to being close to everything in Marin it is a great location for visiting the San Francisco Bay Area.  For those who wish to visit San Francisco but do not want the hassle of staying in The City, find San Rafael a great location.  Downtown SF is a quick drive or even better a relaxing ferry ride away.  The Napa Valley is only a 45 minute drive, an easy day trip.  A list of the widely known places to see and events are listed below.
